  • 10 things about Kawasaki 2019 Ninja ZX-6R, that no one will tell you

10 things about Kawasaki 2019 Ninja ZX-6R, that no one will tell you

The Kawasaki's upcoming Ninja ZX-6R is the same beast underneath with just a new saddle. That’s what most people will say but that does not make it the truth. Just because a bike didn’t receive any bump in Horsepower doesn’t mean it is not a good upgrade. So we have compiled a list of 10 important points regarding the new Ninja explaining why it's one of the most exceptional 600 CC Supersport bikes in the market.

1: Battlax Hypersport S22 tyres

These tyres strike a perfect balance between grip and easy handling. The new rubber makes the bike tip into corners with a lot of ease while keeping the steering light and agile for any situation. These are the latest tyre from the Bridgestone and the company has gone all out on it.

2: More low down power Kawasaki, in its research, found that most of the Ninja ZX-6R riders were using their bikes on streets and in traffic conditions. So the company gave the new bike more low down torque this time with the help of a smaller countershaft sprocket, which reduces the distance to final chain drive.

3: No reduction in power even with EURO 4

The new engine is a EURO 4 compliant engine which makes the same amount of power as the previous one. It is just as fast as the old one without compromising on the reduced emissions.

4: New cross weaved cowl section

The engine cowl features cross ventilated gills which will aid in heat dissipation and allow easy cooling of the engine. Also, the bike now looks more compact and slim than the previous model.

5: Kawasaki Quick Shifter

The new KQS or Kawasaki Quick Shifter unit allows for easy upshifts on the bike, however, for downshifts you’d still have to rely on the clutch.

6: Kawasaki Traction Control The bike has 3-Level traction control, which makes it a way more accessible option for amateur riders. Earlier the 120 HP made the Ninja 636 a quite difficult bike to ride, for those with a less developed throttle hand. But with the coming of new Kawasaki Traction control, the rider is given a little room to commit mistakes. Emphasize on “little”. You can also totally shut off the traction control if you’re a pro.

7: Adjustable clutch lever It is now adjustable to 5 positions based upon your comfort. This and the new added low down power will make the new ZX-6R a decently bearable bike in heavy traffic.

8: Comfortable for shorter riders

The front section of the bike is slim making the bike easy for short riders to touch the ground. Although the bike has a tall seat height of 32.7 inches or 830 mm, this new upgrade will make the bike less daunting for a lot of people.

9: The Standard features

With the exception of ABS and traction control, all the above features are available in the base model, and if the bike comes to India, then the Base model will also come with a standard ABS.

10: The bike is cheap Despite all the upgrades the non-ABS model costs only $9999 or Rs 7.36 lakh (ex-showroom) while the previous model was $11,699 or Rs 8.62 lakh.

According to the rumours on the Internet, the Kawasaki will decide to bring in the ZX-6R in India. Because with the success of ZX-10R in India, bringing the new 636 cc Ninja to India would only prove beneficial for the Japanese Giant. India is a fast developing market and within 2 or 3 years, a good chunk of Indian motorcycling Industry will be playing ball in the middleweight segment. Needless to say, the time to build brand loyalty and fans, is right now.
