
Centuro being first motorcycle in India having such features which are still not available even in premium class sportbikes, became popular among commuter bike segment. On one side these feature have made Centuro a unique and popular bike of country, Gusto on the other hand is still to prove its worth in the fast growing Two wheeler market. The market of auto gear scooter is equally big as motorcycle segment in India, almost every manufacturer has something to offer in this class except Bajaj, which has surprisingly withdrawn itself from this lucrative market to focus entirely on the motorcycle segment.
Honda Activa is still ruling the sales chart and it is still the best selling scooter of the country. The current 110cc Activa is the third generation of what Honda had launched in year 2000 against the Kinetic after parting their ways. Even after 14 years and multiple updations the Activa does not stand even any closer to Gusto in terms of features but still products like TVS Jupiter with latest features could not dilute the fan following of Activa.
This proves that companies like Mahindra and TVS can not entirely rely on the feature added products, they have to build the brand value by manufacturing quality products and not only they have to give exceptionally good after sale support to the customers but they also have to keep their products more value for money. Features will definitely support their sales but in longer run Quality, Reliability and After sale service is what matters in a price conscious market like ours.
