How To Choose Right Filling Station

  • Jan 25, 2017

If you were able to satisfactorily follow the flow of the fuel and its cycle in an adulterated state, you might have realized by now that your bike is pretty much toasted sooner than later. No matter how well you maintain your bike and run it carefully, adulterated fuel is going to hurt your bike hard. So what can you do to ensure you are filling in proper unadulterated fuel?

Here is a technique I have used over the years. Shortlist the fuel outlets you use on a regular basis and also the ones which you feel you might be using in a short time span. Contact the outlet parent company and request for a fuel purity report. They will generally not comply for the same, so you can then put in a complaint with the government for the same, after which they will contact you and conduct a test to ensure the fuel station is supplying unadulterated fuel. This process usually takes time during which you might have to find a fuel station which you know supplies unadulterated fuel. Once you receive a letter from the company ensuring that the fuel in the outlet is pure, you may then use their services.

I have also tried this one technique. Of all the fuel stations available, fill up your tank thrice in each fuel station and calculate the mileage your bike is providing. At the end of the test, the fuel station, whose fuel provided the highest mileage, is the one for you. In case all the fuel stations provided pure fuel, the mileage will not be affected at all.

Use the techniques above, or if you have some more, do comment them below and share it among fellow bikers. Always ensure to fill up at the outlet which provides pure fuel, check for zero, and do not get distracted while fueling. Be careful, fill right, ride hard, ride safe and stay tuned to BikesIndia for more action of all things on two wheels.
