Importance Of Motorcycle Safety Gear Explained

When we talk about the motorcycle safety gear, the first thing which comes to your mind is HELMET but my question to all of you is- DO YOU THINK ONLY HELMET IS GOING TO SAVE YOU?????? The Answer is Big Nooo you have to take care of your whole body and not only your head.

The two wheeler market of India is booming with launch of more performance based bikes rather than commuter and now any 150cc bike can easily do over 100 km/hr speed. And when you are riding bike on triple digits you should take care of yourself and others too, getting faster bike doesn't mean you own the road.

I will be talking about minimum safety gear that may save you on your crash, you can invest a lot more than this and actually you should because more investment on safety means more safer you are. So the list starts with:
1. Helmet

See head is the most important part of your body so obviously you have to make sure that your head is safe, so invest in good quality helmet and ensure that your helmet is certified by ISI mark at least if not DOT or SNELL certification. Helmet not only saves you from crash but it also has its own advantage, it can save you from dust, pollution and direct sunlight.

2. Riding Jacket

If you Ride fast bike this is a must, a proper riding Jacket comes with lots of safety measures inside- like Elbow guard, Shoulder protector, Spine protector and so on. Therefore you are getting a lot of protection with it, I know it's not cheap and requires good amount of money but trust me it's worth every single penny sent on it. You must buy a riding jacket which adds a lot of safety to your body. I would suggest to get all season riding jacket so you are protected all times.

3. Riding Gloves

This is also very important gear to wear not only for fast bikers but if you ride in city condition under 40 km/hr then also you must wear riding gloves. Because whenever you met with an accident your subconscious mind will command your hand to balance yourself and trust me if you are going to balance yourself with naked hand it will be painful. You should always protect your palms and fingers because that will be first thing which you use to balance even in slow speeds and on higher speed you can imagine how painful it will be.

4. Knee Protectors

In almost 30% cases of accidents or crash you all might have seen people with leg injuries, you must ensure that your legs below knees are well protected because that part strikes anywhere when you get crashed and that leads to serious injuries.

5. Riding Boots

Pleassssssssssse wear at least shoes while riding fast bikes if not riding boot, few people ride fast wearing sleepers- Chappals i.e. no protections at all. And that is totally crazy, if you met with an accident and your feet is not protected then that is the part where you will have maximum injury with hot silencer or by crushing you feet below the bike. Therefore please wear good quality shoes at least if not riding boots.
These are the 5 riding gear which are MINIMUM to ensure your body to be safe from head to toe. Just imagine you are riding the bike at 115 km/hr wearing only helmet as protective gear and you met with an accident. Yes you may still be alive but you are in hospital with crushed feet, broken leg, broken arm, damaged shoulder, and scratched fingers, yes your head is safe........

Guys ride safe and ride always with all protective gear all the time.
