Motovlogger Takedown Challenge By Icon

If you have ever searched for a good quality helmet or any other Motorcycle gear then the brand “Icon” must have popped up in your feed. It is a Motorsport brand which makes every type of Riding gear imaginable and custom motorcycles. They have made quite a name in promoting their brand by showcasing insane motorcycle stunts. Their latest campaign is in the news lately which is titled “Icon’s Motovlogger Takedown Challenge”.

In this supposed “Challenge” Icon parodies the current moto-vlogging scene on social media by pitting 2 fake moto vloggers against a series of challenges. The campaign is supposed to be a 19 minutes advertisement whose main focus is to promote the new “Double zero” custom motorcycles from Icon and riding gears.

The two alleged “Moto-vloggers” need to finish a race, which is being streamed online while keeping the audience engaged in their personal visual feed. The overall winner in the process is determined by the total number of likes which the rider will receive and how he performs different challenges. The whole video exaggerates the motorcycling culture mainly across the USA but some part of it is common in the moto-vlogging community as a whole.

Talking about the bike, Underneath the custom work, it is a Zero FX electric motorcycle, which sports a custom built fairing, an aftermarket sprocket from PBI Sprockets and a Nitron mono shock suspension. It also uses parts from different manufacturers including “Driven racing” “EBC brakes” and “Avon tyres”.

Zero FX originally being an off-road motorcycle which is transformed into a sportsbike, is the most amazing part of the video. The custom build motorcycle proves it’s build quality by taking on the dirt, stairs and a lot of tarmacs. Being an electric, the motorcycle is already full of torque and the custom build showcases the versatility of the electric motor in a marvelous way.

The Whole campaign is a well-directed spoof with cringy moments in between but its execution shows that something like this can actually be pulled off in real life. Who knows, maybe we will see real events based off of these campaigns in the future. Considering the amount of traction this video is getting, that day isn’t too far away. Check out Icon’s website for more details on gears and all the other custom bikes they have built. Maybe you can find another video there, which could be far more crazy than this one.
