  • New Yamaha Fascino 113cc Overview

New Yamaha Fascino 113cc Overview

It seems now Yamaha doesn't want to lag behind other scooter manufacturers in India so they are taking Indian scooter market seriously, though Yamaha is disappointing many Indian bikers by not launching their 250-300cc motorcycle in India, maybe Yamaha wants to play very safe game in India. Scooters are now holding a big market share in Indian two wheeler segment and every manufacturer except Bajaj are trying their best to capture this segment, and when it comes to scooter market at present, Honda Activa is the undisputed king.
Yesterday, Yamaha has launched their 113cc scooter Fascino after Alpha, Ray and Ray-Z to further strengthen its scooter market. Let's have an indepth overview of gorgeous Fascino.
Looks & Design-

Yamaha Fascino looks very fascinating, it has V-shaped front grill and has beautiful curves in the body. The modern retro design along with retro looking headlamp and all white console makes it one of the most attractive scooters in the segment. According to Yamaha, Fascino will be a style revolution in the 125cc segment and will be targeted at the youth of the country which Yamaha says makes up over 50 percent of the population. By looking at the design we are sure that it will grab a lot of attention. Performance-

Fascino is powered by same 113 cc air-cooled, 2-valve, 4-stroke engine that powers Ray, Ray-Z and Alpha. The engine churns out 7.1 PS @7,500 rpm and torque of 8.1 Nm@ 5,000 rpm, with the help of CVT gearbox. It comes with ‘Blue Core’ carburetted engine and according to Yamaha, can deliver a mileage of 66 kmpl. It is the lightest scooter from Yamaha at only 103 Kgs. It doesn't have tubeless tyres and comes with drum brake setup. Dimensions-

The Yamaha Fascino has a length of 1815mm, width of 675mm and 1120mm tall. It has wheelbase of 1270mm and height of the saddle is 775mm. The ground clearance is 128mm which we think is a bit low. It can hold 5.2 litres of fuel which is 0.2 litres more than Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter. Colours and Price-

Fascino can be bought in five different shades- Rogue Red, Tuxedo Black, Cool Cobalt, Haute White and Sassy Cyan. Priced at INR 52500 (ex-showroom Delhi), we think it will give enough competition to the segment leaders, as the retro looks and features that Yamaha is offering at this price is appreciable.
