Royal Enfield KX 830- All you need to know

Post highlights:
- The Royal Enfiled KX features an 830 cc V-twin engine
- It is expected to produce 90 HP
- It has a low seat height of 760 mm
The official specs of the Royal Enfield KX have been unveiled and they certainly are impressive. The bike features an 830cc V-twin Over Head Valve (OHC) engine. From the looks of it, the motor looks like an air-cooled unit. The company always try to keep things as simple as possible, thus we can expect the final production model to feature an air-cooled engine as well. It is connected to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is expected to make around 90 HP but it is not officially confirmed by the company. It is only an 830cc unit and many cruisers in the litre class make nowhere near 90 HP. For example. The Triumph Bobber with a 1200cc liquid cooled engine only makes 76 BHP. Even the Harley-Davidson Fat-Bob with its 1745cc V-twin motor makes around 83 HP.

The front suspension comprises of a girder fork while the rear is an under-seat monoshock suspension. The frame of the Royal Enfield KX is designed by Harris performance and it uses the engine as a stressed member. Twin discs with Brembo calipers are present at the front along with 19-inch wheels. The bike has a long wheelbase of 1530 mm and a short height of 760 mm. Due to its bobber nature, the Royal Enfiled KX has a very low ground clearance of 128 mm. Since a lot of the weight of the engine is placed down low, the bike will have a lower centre gravity and in turn better handling and low-speed stability.

All of the given specs are of the concept model only. The final production model will have different specifications. By: Yetnesh Dubey
