Holidays are coming and with it, we are going to have a lot of discount offers on many things, including motorcycles. But not all motorcycles out there are worth buying right now because in 2019 a lot of changes are coming for those motorcycles which are not yet equipped with ABS. That’s why we are bringing you this list of bikes which are totally future proof.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4v Race Spec 2.0 ABS With the longest motorcycle name in the Indian market, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4v is the best choice if you want to go for a future-ready bike. It has Assist and Slipper clutch, Dual Channel ABS, 200 cc Oil cooled engine and a lightweight chassis. The bike is very easy to ride because of its short seat height and sharp handling. The power on the bike is 20.23 BHP @8500 RPM and The Torque is 18.1 Nm @7000 RPM. The acceleration on this machine is also reasonably good and the clutch pull is very smooth, making it easy to ride in bumper to bumper traffic. Currently, the bike retails at around Rs 1.14 lakh ex-showroom.

Honda CB Hornet 160R ABS If you’re on a budget and can’t afford to stretch your spending beyond Rs 1 lakh, then you can opt for Honda CB Hornet 160R ABS version. The bike was updated this year with an LED headlight, Hazard-light switch and Single Channel ABS, making it a well-equipped bike for city and Highway use. It uses a similar engine as that of Honda Unicorn 160, which is a very reliable unit and produces enough power for the city but falls short of breath on the highway. The bike makes around 15.04 BHP @8,500 RPM and 14.76 NM @6,500 RPM. The bike has a very affordable price of Rs 92,000 ex-showroom.

Suzuki Gixxer ABS Probably the most budget-friendly bike in the 150 cc segment, Suzuki Gixxer ABS is another great choice for cost-conscious buyers. The 150 cc engine on the bike produces 14.8 PS of power @ 8000 RPM and 14 Nm of torque @ 6000 RPM. The Gixxer ABS uses a number of technologies like Suzuki Eco performance for improved mileage and Single Channel ABS for safety. The bike has a grunty engine which makes a lot of low down torque with the power to spare. It is a very lightweight motorcycle as well, weighing in at just 135 kg. In a time of ever-increasing fuel prices, the Suzuki Gixxer delivers more than 50 km/l of mileage. The ex-showroom price of the bike is Rs 88,099.

TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS If you’re a fan of old school standard motorcycles with comfortable riding position, then The Apache RTR 180 with dual channel ABS is the bike for you. It may be old but the 180 cc engine is still a kicker. It produces 17.3 BHP @ 8,500 RPM and 15.5 Nm of torque @6,500 RPM. The bike accelerates very fast due to short gearing an super grunty engine. The Apache RTR 180 has a weight of just 139 kg and a top speed of around 120 km/h. With a fuel tank of 16 litres, the bike is able to travel a very long distance without having to worry about fuel pumps. The current price of the bike is Rs 93,132 ex-showroom.

Bajaj Dominar 400 I know that there is a spy photo of the 2019 Dominar 400 model circulating on the internet but consider this, Dominar 400 is a value for money product, if equipment like a bigger radiator, Upside down forks and new exhaust will be added to it, then its cost will go up by a huge margin. The current model is fine as it is. The vibrations in it have been reduced a lot and the fit and finish on the bike are as good as ever. The 373 cc engine makes around 35 HP and 35 Nm of torque, which is more than enough for the city as well as highway use. Currently, the bike is priced at Rs 1.62 lakh, which is very appropriate for a 300 cc sports tourer. The bike also comes with LED headlights, slip and assist clutch, liquid cooling and Fuel injection. It is one of the best bikes available under Rs 2 lakh.
