Kawasaki has tried something different this time, they have not only put the Supercharger in a 1000cc bike to extract the best of the best acceleration but also they have started a race of producing 200+ Hp bikes. Plonking a Supercharger is not a new thing in motorcycles, it used to be done long time back by many other motorcycle manufactures of the World. Kawasaki has successfully integrated the Supercharger in the newly developed supersports bike and they have also got the success in achieving what they wanted from their bike when it was conceived as a prototype- Insane acceleration.
The new Ninja has also 2 different variants based on their respective specifications; the H2 is a road specific superbike producing 200+ Hp, where as the H2R is a Race specific version, which is capable of producing 300 odd ponies. Again its not sure whether we will be getting the Race spec H2R here in India.
