Why the Bikes used in Dhoom were not the best choice

Recently SAAR productions did a really cool video about the review of first Dhoom film. Its a really cool video and you guys should totally check it out. He pointed out all the nonsense which was made to look cool just for the sake of the film. Be it Hollywood or Bollywood, laws of physics and common logic take a back seat, most of the time. It doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t point out their silly mistakes and have a jolly good time. So today I am going to tell you which bikes should have been used for the robbery, by John Abraham and his crew for a successful heist.

Disclaimer: This article is meant for educational and research purposes only, do not try to attempt to rob banks and evade police using your superbikes. Bikesmedia is strictly against any such unlawful activities and will not be held responsible if you decide to break the law.

With that out of the way, let’s begin.

As SAAR productions pointed out in his video that the John Abraham used a 2002 Suzuki GSX Hayabusa 1300R and his minions were on a 2002 Suzuki GSX-R 600. Now, both of these bikes are awesome in their own rights but the thing which we have to remember is that these robberies are being executed in the middle of the day in heavy Mumbai traffic. One has to wonder that how is it even possible that these guys were able to come this far without a proper sense of planning. They chose one of the most populated city as the playground for their illegal activities and are executing them in broad daylight during rush hour. If this isn’t the height of nonsense then I don’t know what is. Although I can’t suggest them the perfect time for robbery, I can at least inform them of the bike which can actually help them cut through traffic and disappear in a jiffy.

Instead of using the Big and heavy Hayabusa and GSXR-600, John and his lackeys should opt for something light and agile. Naked bikes would be better in this case, because they provide better ergonomics and a big fuel tank to keep the boys at ease during their long police chase. Particularly, John should opt for Super Duke 1290 R for himself and Kawasaki Z900 for his lackeys.

The Superduke’s 141 Nm of torque will keep him accelerating hard after every hairpin or U-turn. The 18-litre fuel tank and a compact weight of 195 kg will help him run for long and with ease of mind. The Superduke also does 0-200 km/h in just 7.2 seconds so he won’t be needing nitrous-oxide for his quick getaway.

The Z900 is perfect for his lackeys as they seem to be of less importance but still have to be fast on a budget. The air-cooled engine on Z900 will help their crew save money on engine coolant and the refinement of Kawasaki’s engine will enable the minions to keep up the pact with 1290 R. The bike does not feature riding modes but has twin channel ABS. The Z900 is also extremely flickable which means they can now easily dodge the bullets which Abhishek Bachchan will shoot at them while standing on a motorcycle, doing 270 km/h.

By following these steps John and his lackeys can restart their career as the daylight robbers who prefer riding during rush hour in Mumbai.
