Yet another showcase of 200+ PS producing motorcycle at EICMA 2014, this time its Italian brand Aprilia unveiled the 2015 model of its flagship sportbike RSV4 RR. Aprilia claims that they have redesigned the entire motorcycle from the scratch, this includes new motorcycle design front fascia and newly constructed 999cc V4 engine. Celebrating the grand success of winning the World Superbike Championship title, Aprilia has kept the momentum going on by maintaining the trend of producing motorcycles capable of generating 200+ Ps of raw power.

Motorcycle giants like Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda and Ducati already unveiled either prototype or the production ready 2015 models of their flagship products at the ongoing EICMA motor show. These all bikes are capable of producing 200+ PS of power, setting up already high standards further high. Aprilia claims that they have developed an altogether new product as 2015 RSV4 RR, the bike is featured with 999.6cc V4 liquid cooled DOHC engine. The valvetrain of new RSV4 RR comprises of 4 valves setup in each cylinder. The bike is capable of producing 202 PS of power measured at the crankshaft with 115 Nm of torque at 10500 Rpm.

The new RSV4 engine generates hefty 16PS more than its predecessor model, and Aprilia also claims that they have been successful in increasing the power figure by reducing internal frictions and improving combustion efficiency. Aprilia has achieved this task by deploying titanium valves, lighter con-rods and a new exhaust system. All these efforts of Aprilia ultimately made the 2015 Aprilia RSV4 RR 1.5kg lighter than the older version. Aprila also unveiled another limited edition variant RSV4 RF, the bike retains the same mill with some exclusive features like its distinctive "SuperPole" color scheme, lightweight wheels made from forged aluminum and more sophisticated Öhlins suspension.
