EBR (Erik Buell Racing) has announced that they would be returning in World Superbike Championship 2015. Again, EBR will run a two rider team in the premier WorldSBK class, running the EBR 1190RX. EBR has chosen new riders for the championship Niccolo Canepa, and Larry Pegram. In addition to his riding duties, Pegram will take on the role of overall team manager. The good news for motorcycle enthusiasts in India is Hero MotoCorp will continue its association with the EBR team in this championship.Mr. Pawan Munjal, Managing Director & CEO, Hero MotoCorp said:

Hero Motocorp has taken a step further by participating in World Superbike Championship and became the first Indian two wheeler brand to do that. This may encourage other bike manufacturers in India to take steps further to develop themselves as a racing team and If this happens the future of Superbike Championship in India has a bright future, as we can see interesting partnership between Indian companies and international companies such as Hero-EBR , Bajaj-KTM and TVS-BMW. The time is near when we will see Indian teams participating and racing on international tracks. Let's hope for a bright future of Hero EBR team in the 2015 World Superbike Championship which encourages others brands to form a racing team.
