2016 IBW- Shell Advance Ultra 15W50 Launched

At the ongoing India Bike Week festival today Shell Lubricants, one of the leading oil and lubricant manufacturer launched the new 'Shell Advance Ultra 15W50 engine oil. The new lubricant comes with Shell's patented “PurePlus” technology and has been specially formulated for heavier bikes. The new 'Shell Advance Ultra' is launched at the price tag of Rs 1050/- for a one liter pack. The new Shell synthetic engine oil will be available across the country at retailers and two-wheeler workshops along with leading online shopping website - Amazon.com. The new Shell Advance Ultra 15W-50 engine oil comes with “PurePlus” technology, which is a revolutionary gas-to-liquid technology that efficiently converts natural gas into crystal-clear base oil. The technology helps the engine keep lubricated for longer interval and hence provide better protection against heat and friction.

At the launch event Nitin Prasad, Shell Lubricant India MD, Indian Freestyle wrestler and Olympian, Sushil Kumar and Akhil Jha, Shell India, VP, Technical present. Nitin Prasad, Shell Lubricant India MD, said:
The heavy bike segment has witnessed an upward trend in the country. With India developing into a potential hub for premium super bikes, there is a great opportunity for a lubricant brand like shell to bring technological expertise to this segment. With this in mind, we are happy to launch Shell Advance Ultra 15W050, out premium oil formulation for the heavier bike segment. You can now keep your bike's power loss close to zero with Shell Advance Ultra.
Akhil Jha, Shell India, VP, Technical, said:
Shell Advance Ultra does not degrade between oil changes, thus not letting the engine efficiency plummet and preventing any power loss. This claim based on Shell's internal test data using Honda Wave 125 motorcycles measured at first 1000th and 13000th km mileage coverage, with extended oil change interval of 6000km.
