Royal Enfield Motorcycles are one of the oldest marques of the World which are still manufacturing their production models. Originally from UK the Royal Enfield motorbikes are now 100% Indian brand but following the classic British legacy the RE motorcycles are quite popular across the Europe. The brand is really doing well in both domestic and International markets, recently the overall sales figure achieved by the Royal Enfield was 3 Lacs Units, it was a benchmark for the company which was never achieved before. In order to continue the success story the RE is going to setup a manufacturing facility in the Leicestershire, UK. As per the report, in an official statement the Company's CEO Siddharth Lal said that they are going to start a small satellite center in UK, which will be operational from the end of this year.
Royal Enfield is also going to establish another manufacturing unit in Chennai, which along with the upcoming facility in UK will support the company to meet the increasing demand across the Globe. Believing the reports there will now be Royal Enfield Motorcycles manufactured in UK. This will not only help to reduce the down time and waiting period considerably both in domestic and international markets but may also improve the quality standards. As now RE will have to meet the quality control standards led by the EU and eventually they will have to improve the overall quality of their products.
We can only hope that this will benefit us in longer run, as once improved it will be both easier and viable for the company to implement the quality control policies in India as well.
