2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Bookings Open In India

  • Nov 2, 2018
  • |   Comments
Kawasaki India recently announced that the new Ninja ZX-6R is coming to India. The Dealers across the country are accepting a booking amount of Rs 1.50 lakh. The deliveries of the bike will begin post-January 2019. However, the company has confirmed that the bike will initially come in limited numbers. The future availability of the ZX-6R in India will depend on its performance in the first round of bookings.

The 2019 Ninja ZX-6R is a major update from the 2018 version. It is better equipped and more affordable at the same time. The cheapest Non-ABS version of the bike is available at $9999 in the USA but it won’t come to India due to strict ABS regulations. Only the ABS and ABS+Traction control model will be available in India.

The Ninja ZX-6R is powered by a 636cc inline-4-cylinder engine which generates 130 HP and 70.8 Nm of torque. It is one of the fastest 600cc supersport on the planet. The updated bike also include the Kawasaki Quick Shifter, Battlax Hypersport S22 radial tyres, and LED lights as standard.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R will be the second middleweight supersport to come to India, after the Triumph Daytona 675R. Currently only 1000cc supersport like the Yamaha R1M, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and Honda CBR 1000RR are available in India.

After the launch of Ninja ZX-6R, other manufacturers are expected to follow the same. We can expect motorcycles like Honda CBR 600RR and the Yamaha R6 to come to India very soon. Fans have long been waiting for a proper middleweight racing machine, as a result, Kawasaki will be delighted to see the huge number of bookings for their first batch of motorcycles.
