India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. (IYM) has launched the updated flagship super sportbike YZF-R1. The Japanese automaker has upgraded their Indian product lineup with the introduction of updated YFZ-R1. The bike will be imported to India as CBU (Completely Built Unit) and will be available in two color options.
Yamaha India Motorcycles have updated their official website silently with the latest 2015 YZF-R1 and R1M super sportbikes. These bikes are now officially sold by Yamaha through their selected outlets and you can get the class leading bikes strating from Rs 22,34,300 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). Yamaha has updated the Indian product lineup with these two variants of their super sportbike models, which are doing exceptionally good in other markets.
The Yamaha YZF-R3s have been imported to India, instead of the R25 which was expected before. The R25 is powered by the 249cc parallel twin engine which produces 35.5Ps of power at 11000 Rpm, where as the R3 has a 321cc parallel twin engine producing 41.4Bhp. The R3 comes with ABS as standard.
Yamaha has started giving training to the dealers for the upcoming sportsbike YZF R25. As per reliable sources Yamaha India is giving training to the service staff of their respective dealers at the prominent dealerships at major cities. Normally the training starts 3-4 months before the launch of a new product, this translates that Yamaha may launch the R25 early next year.
So the wait is finally over and here we have it, the all new 2015 Yamaha R1 which produces more power and less weight and a sophisticated electronics.
