Aprilia To Launch Shiver 750 Naked Superbike In India

  • Feb 21, 2015
  • |   Comments
The superbike market in India is being flooded with many new options for buyers and you get superbikes from almost all the categories too are here. So add to that list, Aprilia is planning to get smaller bikes in India and it wants to start with the Shiver 750 ABS. A single unit of this bike has been imported for R&D to India recently which suggests it's launch soon. The bike will come to India via the CBU route and the assembly will be done by Piaggio depending on the sales. Piaggio is presently assembling Vespa and soon Aprilia might also add to it.

Powering the Shiver 750 ABS is a 749.9cc, 4-stroke, V-twin that produces 95 BHP of power and 80.9 Nm of torque mated to a 6 speed gearbox. The bike will come equipped with ABS. The bike will be priced somewhere around 8 lacs which if right will be lesser than the Z800 and other bikes in the segment. Other features of the bike includes a trellis frame, USD front fork, dual front petal disc brakes, rear monoshock, underseat exhaust, LED tail lamps, tank shrouds, digital and analogue combo speedometer console and much more. Once launched, the bike is going to take on the Kawasaki Z800, Triumph Street Triple, the upcoming MT-09 and TNT 899.
