Aravind KP had started his racing career in 2005 when he was 19, it was in 2006 when he was participating at Gulf Dirt Track National Championship TVS Racing spotted him. Since then, Aravind has won 15 National Championships in Dirt track, Rallies and Motocross for TVS Racing. Aravind became the first Indian to win an overseas Motocross Championship when he won the championship in Srilanka in 2011.

Our partner Sherco is equally excited about having an Indian rider in Aravind on board and is geared up to give him the best training both in navigation and riding in sand dunes for Dakar Rally 2017.
Aravind KP will race in team with Juan Pedrero who is a Spanish Champion for Sherco-TVS Rally Factory team at Dakar Rally 2017. There will be a third European rider who will be added in the team soon. For the third consecutive year Sherco-TVS team will be participating in the 39th edition of Dakar Rally which is going to take place in January 2, 2017 and will last till January 14, 2017. Covering the distance of 9000 km, Dakar Rally is considered as the toughest rally in the world. The 2017 Dakar rally will through three countries- Paraguay, Argentina and Bolivia.
