Alright, I guess it's time for me to sell my kidneys, my house and whatever I have, guess what? Ducati India has started taking orders for the limited edition of the Panigale 1299 Superleggera (Superleggera meaning lightweight in Italian) at a slobber knocker price- INR 1.12 crores.

Why is it so special? Let's find out. Everything in the motorcycle is made up of carbon fiber. The Swingarm, Frame, Subframe, Wheels and even the full fairing is made up of carbon fiber.

Coming to the electronics, the Panigale 1299 Superleggera has a ton of features in it. Apart from the normal Traction and Wheelie controls, the Superleggera comes with a Slide control that ensures even higher out of the corner performance. It is further equipped with a Launch control system, multiple Riding modes, Switchable ABS and even Engine Braking System, at a heart throbbing price of INR 1.12 crores, making it the most expensive production bike in the Indian market.

The Panigale bags a 1285cc L-twin engine that delivers a fire-breathing 215bhp at 11,000 RPM with 146Nm of torque at 9,000 RPM. With only 500 units built worldwide, the Superleggera is the most powerful factory twin-cylinder ever built.

For track use, the Superleggera comes with a track kit that includes a Titanium Akrapovic exhaust system. The kit claims to reduce the motorcycle’s weight by a good 4kgs boosting the engine by 5bhp. Other performance-oriented Superleggera includes a high-end Ohlins suspension and race-spec Brembo brakes.
