The new entry-level motorcycle from the American iconic motorcycle company- Harley Davidson has been revealed in flesh & bones. The new bike is coined as Harley-Davidson X440 and it has been developed in partnership with our Indian company Hero MotoCorp. It is also revealed that the new Harley-Davidson X440 will be officially launched in India on 4 July, 2023.The production-ready motorcycle has been revealed by the company and by the looks of it the design cues have been taken from its sibling- Harley Davidson XR1200. The design includes a round headlight with branding on it, a single instrument console, a flat handlebar, machined alloy wheels, etc.
The company has kept tightlipped about the finer details of the engine, however by the branding it is expected to be a 440cc single cylinder engine, which would be air-cooled and oil-cooled both. It is also expected that the engine will be a long stroke one and hence will return good low-end and mid-end torque.
The new Harley-Davidson X440 will lock its horns with the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Honda CB Hness in the Indian market. You can expect the price of the motorcycle between Rs. 2.50 lakh to Rs. 3 lakh (ex-showroom).
