Hero HX250R Carries Majority DNA From Erik Buell

  • Jan 16, 2015
  • |   Comments
The upcoming flagship product of Hero and the first ever bike produced under the tie-up of Hero MotoCorp and American motorcycle company Erik Buell the HX250R is going to receive majority of engineering from the master of motorcycle engineering the Erik Buell Racing.

As per a report published in Visordown, there have been multiple prototypes exported from USA to India bearing EBR markings. The prototypes are including 250cc motorcycles with and without working prototype models, indicating that the entire bike is been done in US by Erik Buell Racing and then later they were shipped to India for further R&D.

If the reports are true then we are going to get a way better product than we thought, because EBR has a reputation of an innovative and World class motorcycle engineering company. They are the one who have introduced the concept of mass centralization in motorbikes, the under-seat exhaust and the use of USDs (upside down) suspensions in sportbikes.

Although, it is for sure that the HX250R will be manufactured in India locally at the Hero Motocorp facilities and will later be exported to other sub continents. Hero had already declared that they will unveil the HX250R in European and American market by late 2015.
