Hero HX250R Spotted Testing In India

  • Aug 18, 2015
  • |   Comments
Hero’s HX250R caught while testing for the first time in India. The development inputs for the single cylinder quarter liter flagship product of Hero has been taken majorly from EBR. The HX250R was unveiled by the Hero MotoCorp last year at the Delhi Auto expo and it is expected that the launch might happen by this fiscal year. The quarter liter fully faired HX250R was seen in grey color along with prominent red color monoshock and body color telescopic suspension at the front.

The HX250R is powered by a 249 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The fuel injected motor produces a healthy 31 bhp and 26 Nm of torque. The braking duty will be done by disc brakes both at front as well as rear and the road ready Hero HX250R is expected to get Pirelli tyres and ABS as standard. For those who complain about the omission of "Engine Kill Switch" by Hero in their products, it's time to get content as engine kill switch can be prominently seen and it is inevitable this time. The HX250R is featured with round meter console with single pod on board. The bike also has tall windscreen, twin headlamps, wide split seats and not so high clip-on handle bars (unlike in Pulsar RS200). It will be a good tourer cum sport machine, overall it looks fresh and got loads of road presence. When launched it is expected to be priced at Rs 1.40- 1.60 Ex-showroom. The Hero HX250R will compete with the likes of Honda CBR250R, KTM RC200 , upcoming Mahindra Mojo 300 and Suzuki Gixxer 250. The expected Launch of Hero HX250R is by Jan 2016.
