Honda has emerged as market leader yet again with increasing market share in two wheeler segment, based on the sales report published by SIAM, Honda 2 Wheelers has achieved number one position in 8 States and one Union territory of India.

Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India (HMSI) has now become No. 1 selling two- wheeler brand across 8 States including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Kerala, Punjab, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Goa); and 1 Union Territory (Chandigarh). In Delhi only brand HMSI has grown faster than the overall industry growth and registered 33% market share, becoming a market leader Honda now aiming to achieve new heights of success. Honda has now attained 60% market share in auto scooters in Delhi, which means nearly 2 in 3 scooters sold in Delhi belongs to Honda.
Honda has also become market leader for the first time in three new States- Gujrat, Punjab and Delhi. In what is called as scooterization of 2- wheeler industry Honda has strengthened its leadership in auto scooter segment across all 29 States and UTs.

However, it will be interesting to be seen that how Honda will defend their title in coming future as manufacturers like Hero MotoCorp are trying their best to take their piece of pie and in a slew of this they have recently launched Maestro Edge and unveiled Duet, which will be out for sale very soon.
