Honda had showcased the CX-01 concept 160cc motorcycle at 2014 auto expo, the bike was succeeded in creating the buzz in automobile sector. With showcasing the concept bike Honda had given clear indication that they are gonna take every other motorcycle manufacturer in India head on. Now as per our fellow website Bikeadvice.in, in a conversation with Mr Yadvinder Guleria, Vice President Sales and Marketing of Honda they were intimated that Honda is not only considering the launch but they are already prepared with the product also, Mr Gularia said that earlier Honda was planing to launch the 160cc bike this month only but they have postponed the launch due to certain unavoidable reasons. And now Honda will launch the 160cc motorcycle in coming months of this fiscal year.
We had already discussed about the launch of Honda 160cc bike in our article "The Up Coming 150cc Bikes In India". Honda has postponed the launch may be to see the market response the recently launched Yamaha FZ version 2 and Suzuki Gixxer get or to take a space between the recent launches happened in the same 150- 160cc premium class category. Whatever the case it may be it is now clear that soon we will get another competitor in the already steaming up 150- 160cc segment.
