Bajaj Auto India has launched new Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 for Indian market. Both bikes are introduced at an introductory price tag of Rs. 1.8 Lac (Ex, Showroom). The bookings of both Huskies are opened and one can book their bike via 100 KTM dealerships across 45 cities in the country. The company has growth plans to expand its footprint to reach almost 400 KTM dealerships across 275 towns over the next five months.

Both Husqvarna motorcycles use 248.76cc, liquid-cooled, single cylinder, four-stroke, DOHC, fuel-injected engine which is capable of producing 29.5bhp of power output at 9,000rpm and 24Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. The motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox featured with a slipper clutch system. The stopping duty is been assigned to a 320mm disc brake at the front and 230mm disc at the rear. The Huskies are featured with dual-channel ABS for better braking experience. The bikes are suspended on WP-sourced upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear.

The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 comes featured with rugged dual purpose tyres and upright seating posture; courtesy high handlebar. On the other hand the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 has sporty ergonomics, clip-on handlebars and stickier soft compound tyres.
