  • Nov 24, 2014
  • |   Comments
Kawasaki seems to be in a different gear altogether as far as launching new bikes in India is concerned. Soon after launching ER-6n and Z250 Kawasaki is about to launch its adventure touring motorcycle Versys 1000 which they had showcased in recently concluded 2014 Intermot autoshow.

The Kawasaki's Pune Dealership has started taking bookings for Versys 1000 and you can book one of yours by paying Rs 5 Lacs in advance. The bike will be launched at price tag of Rs 12.90 Lacs (Ex-Showroom, Pune) and the delivery would be started soon after the launch.

The Kawasaki Versys 1000 would be a 2015 model of Kawasaki's adventure touring bike, the bike is featured with the 1,043 cc inline 4- cylinder liquid-cooled engine which is mated to a 6-speed transmission and assisted with a slipper clutch. The bike produces 120 PS of power and 102 NM of torque.

Kawasaki Versys is derived from "Versatile System" and indeed the bike is loaded with lots of versatility, the new 2015 Kawasaki Versys has latest twin headlamp front fairing with more aerodynamic wind shield. It also has 17 inches alloy wheels with longer travel front suspension. The 2015 Kawasaki Versys 1000 is featured with new reinforced twin- tube aluminum chassis which has more load bearing capacity.

The features like ABS and Traction control with higher load bearing ability makes Kawasaki Versys a perfect contender for long journeys and adventure tours. The Versys will be pitched against Suzuki V- Strom and Triumph Tiger 800 XC.
