I don't know how to put up this but I believe Mahindra does know how to carry on things eternally. Mahindra Mojo spotted yet again somewhere in Yelagiri Tamilnadu. The 4- wheeler giant turned two-wheeler manufacturer seems like distracted from the fundamentals of the industry. A prototype showcased 3-4 years back is still underproduction, it sounds very unprofessional. The basics of the automobile business says that if a product is showcased as a prototype and it remains as a prototype and never turns up a production model, that is just fine, because based on the feasibility the manufacturing of a prototype is sole discretion of manufacturer. But, if a manufacturer of an international stature (even in 4-wheelers) seems to be struggling hard for a product ever-since it was first showcased publicly, it looks pretty odd.
Mahindra has the infrastructure and the concept showcased long long time ago was too good for its time, but as time passes by and the development of the model, apparently Mahindra not only lags behind the schedule but also lags the competition. The competition in the quarter liter segment is as severe as in other 2- wheeler segments of the extremely rapidly growing Indian Two wheeler industry.
Each time Mahindra adds something on to the bike to compete with the available and upcoming sub- 400cc models of other manufacturers, the competitor brings something more exciting on their product and Mahindra again starts implementing either those features on Mojo or something better. This never ending process keeps on going for ever and ever. Anyways, we are still hopeful for this promissing Indian company and hope that the wait will prove worth.By: Farhan Kashif
