A brand new season of MotoGP is just about a month away an the FIM, the Governing body of the sport has pulled the covers off the 2016 MotoGP calendar. Though the season begins in Qatar and ends in Valencia as in the past, the 2016 season will have only one Race in the US. Indianapolis Motor speedway has been excluded from the calendar, replaced by Red Bull's Osterreichring in Austria.
Barring the omission of the legendary Indy GP, the calendar is largely unchanged. The Season starts off in Losail, Qatar on March 17th (Night race means the weekend kicks off on thursday itself).
The Dutch TT, which takes place as per tradition on the last saturday of June will take place on the last sunday of June. This is to maintain uniformity across the calendar and attract a higher audience who prefer to visit the circuit on a sunday.
Here are the dates of the upcoming 2016 Season:

The teams and riders still have six days of official testing remaining as the paddock flies to Australia for their second official test at Phillip Island , which starts from 17th of February. Thereafter they'll be present at Losail, Qatar for their last Pre-season test of the season.
