BMW Unveiled the G310 RR concept- At the BMW Motorrad days in Japan, the company veiled a new entry-level supersport bike. It was a prototype made completely out of carbon fibre body panels and BMW G310 R suspensions. People were quick to point out, that it’s inspired by the TVS Apache RR 310 and as usual they were wrong. The bike was totally a BMW concept, with sick under seat exhaust, and a mean looking design.
Harley-Davidson to open new electric R&D plant- Struggling to keep up with global giants like the Honda and other Japanese manufacturers. Harley-Davidson ended the month of August by designing a new pathway for the company. A path which will be traveled by lightweight naked and electric bikes. The first step in the above-mentioned direction was taken by the company last week when they decided to open a new R&D facility for their upcoming electric motorcycle in California. The American state is already home to some of the world’s largest tech companies and EV manufacturers including Tesla and Zero. Let’s hope Harley can reinvent themselves in their new home.
Apache RR 310 launched in Nepal and Ntorq launched in Sri-Lanka- Satisfying the automotive thirst of our neighbouring countries is the job of India. And TVS motors are the perfect candidate to do the same. The company celebrated 5 million Apache’s sold, this past week and they also launched their flagships, the Apache RR310 and the Ntorq in Nepal and Srilanka respectively. Both products are made in India and represent the best of Indian Automotive engineering and build quality. Maybe in the future, Europe too can get a sweet taste of the Agile monsters which we so much enjoy.
PIL filed against Illegally modified RE exhaust; Ducati celebrates 25 years Of Monster- A Public interest Litigation was filed by advocate Prateek Sharma, who is also the head of Justice for Rights foundation. He has claimed that illegally modified Royal Enfield exhausts and horns are the main cause of sound pollution in urban cities. He also claimed that such exhausts exceed the 80 dB sound limit. Being utterly familiar with the motorcycles, we know that his claims are true and we also hope that the judges hearing his plea, finds the same. On the other hand, Ducati celebrated 25 years of Monster with Rajputana Customs. The company commissioned the custom bike builder to modify a Monster 797 to pay homage to the 1993 model of the bike. Rajputana customers did an amazing job on the bike’s fuel tank and kept the custom work to a minimum. All in all, it was a perfect way to celebrate the 25 years of an iconic motorcycle.
Cleveland Cyclewerks revealed the price of their Ace Delux and Indian motorcycles FTR 1200 patent revealed- Cleveland Motorcycle’s Ace Delux price was released in a twitter post. The bike’s ex-showroom price came out to be Rs 2.23 lakh. Considering the bike has an air cooled 220 cc engine which makes 15.6 Bhp of power and 16 Nm of torque. I have a feeling that it is not going to be an easy bike to sell.
On another side of the world, a patent revealing Indian motorcycle’s new FTR 1200 was leaked online- According to it, the bike looks very different from what the company showcased as their prototype. It is a usual practice of downgrading the actual production model from the prototype variant of the bike but this time the patent look almost nothing like the Prototype. We also have another video coming up on the same issue very soon, so be sure to check that out.
