The UK based manufacturer CCM has revealed their new motorcycle model- The Spitfire. The bike is going to be officially launched later this week at the upcoming ‘London Motorcycle Show’. The Spitfire will be the first motorcycle to be manufactured by the British firm at their new Skunkwerx department. The number of production model of Spitfire will be limited to only 150 units and each will be individually numbered examples.The bare bone Spitfire is powered by a 600cc single cylinder liquid cooled engine, the mill is capable of churning out claimed 55 horses and 43 lbs of torque. The engine of the Spitfire is being mounted on a classic hand welded British T45 Carbon fiber frame. The chassis is being taken its design cues from one of the original members of CCM back in 1970’s- Ted Unwin. The Spitfire is suspended on the classic WP upside down (USD) front suspensions and fully adjustable Tractive monoshock.
The braking duties are being given to Brembo on Spitfire and with its minimal naked styling the bike tips to the scale at 120.9 Kg dry. The café racer styling of the Spitfire gives it both retro and contemporary looks. The big 19 inch alloy wheels come shod with balloon tyres for that classic design.
