Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) has launched the Honda Shine 100 in India. The newcomer comes under Honda’s CB Shine and it will lock horns with the Hero Splendor. The Honda Shine 100 shares its design cues with the CB Shine 125. The bike features a curvy headlight and a sleek fuel tank with a single seat. The entry-level Shine 100 looks pretty simple and is a perfect package for a commuter in its class. The new Honda Shine 100 comes equipped with a 100cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor. The engine has a claimed output of 7.61 bhp power and 8.05 Nm torque. The mill is mated to a four-speed transmission gearbox seated on a tubular frame. The 100cc motor of the new Honda Shine 100 is also said to be OBD-2 compliant (Onboard diagnostics).
Honda has introduced the Shine 100 at a price tag of Rs. 64,900 (Ex-showroom) and it will rival the likes of Hero Splendor, TVS Radeon, and Bajaj Platina. The bike will be available in five color schemes – black with red stripes, black with blue stripes, black with green stripes, black with gold stripes, and black with grey stripes.
