Yamaha Motorcycle India has finally launched the much-awaited MT-03 in India. The company has priced the bike at Rs 4.60 lakh (ex-showroom) which is Rs. 5000 cheaper than its R3. The Yamaha MT 03 is essentially the naked version of the R3 stepping into our country for the first time.
The bike will compete with the likes of KTM 390 Duke and the BMW G 310 R. As the new Yamaha MT-03 is the naked version of the fully faired R3 it shares most of its hardware. The bike comes powered with a 321cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that makes 40.4bhp of power and 29.4Nm of torque. The motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox transmission with a slipper clutch.The new Yamaha MT-03 comes featured with 17-inch wheels at both ends while it is suspended to USD fork at front and a mono-shock suspension at rear. Braking duty has been given to a single disc at either end with ABS. The bike also comes with dual-channel ABS, LED headlamp, and LCD screen.
The new Yamaha MT 03 will come as a completely built (CBU) unit from Indonesia. It will be available in two color options – Cyan Blue andd Black.
