Royal Enfield launches much anticipated 2021 Classic 350

The Chennai-based two wheeler manufacturer, Royal Enfield today launched all new 2021 Classic 350 in India, The day for which Royal Enfield fans have been waiting for has come, the launch took place virtually due to the Covid-19 situation all over.

Looks

The bike has undergone through huge changes, at first glance it might not appear like anything has been changed from the previous generation due to curvy designs, round headlamps, split seats. Royal Enfield didn't want to play a lot with its iconic and classic retro design, hence while it may appear that almost nothing is changed, in fact a lot has been changed. The bike retains its bold character.

Engine & mechanical

The engine has been taken from Meteor 350; the 349 cc single cylinder engine belongs to the 'J-platform' engine from Meteor 350. The mill produces 20.2 bhp of power and 27 Nm of torque and mated to 5 speed gearbox. It has got electronic fuel-injection as well, while the previous generation model has 346 cc engine which produces 19.1 bhp power and 28 Nm of torque, so the new engines gains almost 1 bhp of power while compromising on 1 Nm of torque. Anyways the new engine is very much refined and has gained a lot of appreciation for the same.

At front the bike gets 41mm fork with 130mm of travel, it is based on twin down tube spine frame, while at the rear it gets twin-tube shock absorbers with 6-step adjustable preload. The Braking duties are handled by a 300m disc at the front and 270mm disc at the rear; it also has an option for drum brakes as well.

Features & Pricing

The bike gets a round LCD display with Bluetooth functionality, which displays time, helps in navigation and lot more; the same was seen in Meteor 350, Classic 350. At last gets a fuel indicator, trip meter and time in a small digital display placed just below the speedometer. Headlamp is still halogen instead of LED but does the duty well. Coming to the variant wise pricing of the new 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350, it comes with 3 year standard warranty with road assistance for 1 year.

All prices mentioned are ex-showroom:

Royal Enfield Classic Redditch – ₹1,84,374

Royal Enfield Classic Halcyon – ₹1,93,123

Royal Enfield Classic Signals – ₹2,04,367

Royal Enfield Classic Dark – ₹2,11,465

Royal Enfield Classic Chrome – ₹2,15,118
