Scoop: 2014 Yamaha Fazer Version 2.0 Spotted, Launch Soon

  • Jul 5, 2014
  • |   Comments
Yamaha Motor India recently launched the updated version of its F16 and FZ-S with new 149cc engine and Fuel Injection System and did not talk about any updations of Fazer. By surprising all of us Throttlequest.com has scooped pictures of 2014 Yamaha Fazer being road tested sans camouflage. The bike has received major updation at the front end as we can clearly see in the pictures that Yamaha has taken front half faring from its much talked about and awaited bike the R25.
However the rear end is absolutly same as of the newly launched FZ16 and FZ-S V2.0. The rear end has new tail light assembly, tyres with new compound, tyre huggers and split seats. Now coming directly to the main point- is the same new 149cc engine is plonked by the Yamaha in the new Fazer ? or Yamaha will surprise all of us by introducing an over bored 170-180cc engine in the new Fazer Version 2.0. As we all know Yamaha has got habit of surprising us, they have recently surprised us (negatively) by launching new FZ16 and FZ-S with under powered 149cc engine. May be this time Yamaha will surprise all of us in a positive note by launching new 2014 Fazer with more powerful engine. The fact which gives strength to our speculation is that the currently available Fazer with 153cc engine is always considered to be heavier for its 153cc engine and the bike is known for its under powered character. Now it is to be seen how can Yamaha plonk an engine with further reduced power and torque output. Lets hope for the best, we at BikesIndia.org pray that our speculation may turn out to be a reality and Yamaha this time surprises all of us with a new more powerful Fazer rather then a disaster.
