Spied: TVS-BMW Prototype Caught Testing; The Concept Draken Is Getting Alive

Year 2015 is going to be very interesting as far as new bike launches are concerned. TVS-BMW partnership is one of the eminent companies working for their new products, the prototype of the TVS-BMW is seen testing on roads of Germany. This is probably first few photographs of the bike being tested, it is for the first time we could see the details of the bike and yes it is completely different from what we had seen previously in a spy shot taken from very long distance.

As we had expressed our doubts on the bike claimed as TVS-BMW prototype and had put our opinion about the bike which was looking more like Hero HX250R than any other bike. Our doubt proves to be true as now a clear picture of TVS-BMW prototype is taken while testing in Germany. The TVS-BMW prototype revealed that it has a single headlight with projector, upside down shock absorbers up front and single disc brake setup for both the ends. The ABS ring is also visible confirming the provision of ABS as well. The exhaust is side on and looks little big for the size of the bike. The rear sprocket is pretty large in size indicating the peppy nature of the bike. There are bolts visible under the engine indicating the provision of under belly pan. The large size radiator is also very prominently seen hugged by big scoops complimenting the large contoured fuel tank of the bike. The use of meaty Michelin tyres on alloy wheels indicating premium approach of the bike.

The bike is certainly looks based on the concept "Draken" showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo. It is indeed a naked bike which is suppose to have a 300cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine. Though the capacity of the bike is not confirmed but being a sub 500cc bike it is expected to get a engine between 300-400cc. The instance of BMW riders seen riding with KTM 390 bike in Germany some time back also indicates that perhaps BMW was doing this to do a sort of comparison.
