
Amongst the sponsored teams, in the 81cc-110cc two stroke category, CEAT team has been ranked first securing all three positions. Rohan Thakur achieved 1st position on his Kinetic in 81cc to 110cc two stroke category and Manjit Singh gained 1st position with his LML Vespa in 110cc to 160cc category, being the second victory for him.
The Rally witnessed 60 riders from different parts of the country. The rally covered a distance of 30kms in 5 hours, which started on Sunday from K star hotel in Belapur and back. The path was covered with difficult terrains and challenging landscapes. This year, CEAT enters the Monsoon Scooter Rally with its latest variant of CEAT Gripp tyres. These tyres angular block pattern feature and deeper shoulder grooves provided superior grip even under challenging conditions.
The rally was divided into three stages, class S1-two stroke (81cc-110cc), class S2 two stroke (110cc-160cc) and four stroke ( upto 160cc) with a special class for ladies. From the start point, the riders made way to Navi Mumbai region with a separate rally route filled with sand, gravel, stones, peaks and sudden sand drops. Riders had to complete three laps before the finish line.
CEAT limited participates every year in the Monsoon scooter rally with a vision to provide improved stability and grip to the riders through their cutting edge technology.
