Triumph Launches Thunderbird LT In India

Triumph Motorcycles India has launched the Thunderbird LT (Light Tourer) today in India at a price tag of Rs 15.75 Lacs (Ex-showroom, Delhi), the bike is a tourer version of its already on sale cruiser Thunderbird Storm. The new Thunderbird LT is a 12th motorcycle launched in a row by Triumph in our country.

Triumph has taken India seriously as a potential market for its brand, they already have their major product line up available in the country, the new Thunderbird LT is an addition to their existing fleet of motorcycles in India.

Thunderbird LT is essentially a Tourer and it is equipped with big 1699cc DOHC parallel twin motor producing 94 PS of Power at 5408 Rpm and a whopping 151 Nm of Torque at a very low 3550 Rpm. As the technical figures of new Thunderbird is suggesting it is certainly not a LIGHT Tourer at all. The bike is fueled with sequential Fuel Injection system and the heavy engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.

The Thunderbird LT is a feature loaded Tourer with many premium accessories come as standard fitment. The bike has removable leather saddle bags with redesigned leather seat which accompanied with the rear backrest for the pillion. The Thunderbird LT comes with Dual floating front Disc brakes with rear single Disc and ABS as standard feature. The bike also has larger Windshield for better air dissipation and safety from foreign particles at high speeds.
