Triumph Launches Tiger 800 XRx And XCx Motorcycles

Triumph Motorcycles entered India with a bang, a while ago, with a portfolio covering all the segments in the market- Cruiser, Naked, Supersports, Adventure and even a Café racer. With a diversified lineup, They had decent sales numbers in its first year and most importantly, Satisfied customers inspite of the detuning saga that plagued Triumph for quite some time.

Today, Triumph Motorcycles India launched two new motorcycles of the Adventure genre- The Tiger 800 XRx and XCx. They are mostly Identical motorcycles except for minor differences in their capabilities and on-board equipment. The XRx is more focused on the real world riding- Road riding whereas the XCx is of the opposite- Insane off-roading pleasure.

Both of them are powered by the same 800cc Triple cylinder engines, which Triumph calls the second generation of the engine. It’s claimed to produce lower emissions and be 17% more efficient than its predecessor. Salient Features of Tiger XRx and XCx are as follows:

  • Rider focused technology including standard fit traction control and switchable ABS on all models delivering improved rider safety.
  • First in class inclusion of cruise control.
  • Three riding modes to control throttle response, ABS, and traction control.
  • Class leading, second generation, 800cc triple engine producing lower emissions and delivering a 17% increase in fuel efficiency over previous Tiger 800.
  • Ride by Wire technology for smoother power delivery and lighter throttle response.
  • Improved off road capability with standard fitment of WP Suspension on the XCx.
  • New styling, improved ergonomics, and adjustable seat height giving 20mm of adjust-ability.

Triumph Motorcycles will bring both XRx and XCx via (CKD) completely knocked down route, they are going to assemble these machines in India and hence they have successfully priced both the bikes competitively. The base version of Tiger XR is priced at Rs 10.5 Lacs whereas the Tiger XRx is priced at Rs 11.6 lacs and Rs 12.7 lacs for the Tiger XCx, all prices Ex-showroom, Delhi.
