Triumph Motorcycles has officially launched the Speed 400 in India. The lowest-capacity Triumph motorcycle is finally launched after formally being unveiled by the company last month.

The new Triumph Speed 400 is designed as a retro-modern machine; it gets a round LED headlight and a nut-shaped fuel tank. The bike also gets LED turn indicators, a flat wide handlebar, a single seat, a tubular grab-rail, and an upswept exhaust. The new Triumph Speed 400 comes equipped with a 398cc, liquid-cooled engine. The engine makes 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 37.5Nm at 6,500rpm and the motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The new Triumph Speed 400 comes suspended with USD front forks and a mono-shock. The braking duty is given to a front and rear disc brake with dual-channel ABS. The Scrambler 400X version of the bike gets a larger 320mm unit as opposed to the Speed 400 which has a 300mm front disc. Then, the later rides on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in road-biased tires, whereas the former gets a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel wrapped in 100/90 front and 140/80 rear dual-purpose tires.

Triumph has launched the Speed 400 at an introductory price tag of Rs. 2,23,000/- (Ex-showroom, Delhi) for the first 10,000 customers.
