The TVS- BMW’s first prototype has been caught while testing recently in Germany. This hints towards the unveiling of the production model at the next year’s INTERMOT or EICMA. There were a lot of confirmations of the TVS-BMW joint venture but none over what their first product would be. It is small capacity sub quarter litre motorcycle. It sports a 300cc motor with a under-seat exhaust, which can be seen in picture. The unveiling of the bike next year is confirmed by the head motorcycle department BMW Mr. Stephen Schaller. The picture clearly reveals that there’s a high pillion seat with high mounted rear foot pegs. The crouching riding stance also helps in indicating that it’s a full-faired sportsbike instead of a street-fighter.
However our words over the given picture are a wee-bit different from that of what MCN has claimed. We respect MCN team’s experience and believe that this is a BMW-TVS first motorcycle. But the rear appears almost identical to the Hero Motocorp's upcoming HX250R, the upside down triangular under-seat exhaust with those Karizma ZMR like tail light assembly which was also seen on the HX250R prototypes. While, all earlier speculations have stated that first TVS-BMW 300cc bike will be a naked street-fighter based on the K1300R, this motorcycle seems like a full faired bike.
Keep watching this space to know which prototype is this, a TVS-BMW or the Hero HX250R? as we will keep updating you with more closeup shots of this test mule.
