The two-wheeler market growing its width everyday with new offerings and updates in 125cc executive segment, gone are the day of puny 125cc which were bought only to experience a little power than 100cc and fuel economy more than 150cc, now 125cc bikes come with more electronics on board than some of the premium 150cc segment. Yamaha has launched the Saluto and Honda has come up with an updated CB Shine, so TVS took off their rabbit out of their hat with all the gadget and gizmos to compete the likes of Yamaha, Honda and Mahindra’s 125cc motorcycles. TVS has silently launched the refreshed 2015 Phoenix, with some appreciating updates. The updated Phoenix is featured with a new fuel tank, new body graphics, front visor, body colored rear grab rails and now the seat gets color contrast red stitching. You also get 3D emblem now.

Mill remaining the same, the bike is boasted with engine topping at 11Ps of max. power at 8000rpm and 10.8Nm of peak torque at 8000rpm. Now, you get new canister assisted gas charged rear shock absorbers for a supple riding experience. On the top end variant you also get petal disc brake up-front, so you can use all those 10.8Nm in city without worrying about the stopping power. On the technological front the bike has taken up the leap forward by offering you a vehicle locator key, which turns on the hazard lights of the motorcycle to make it easier finding it in a parking lot, same feature as Mahindra introduced first in Centuro. The new dash now comes with a fully digital instrument cluster. The speedometer and tachometer’s combination looks pretty interesting for a 125cc motorcycle. New LED pilot lamps are integrated into the headlamp assembly. So the new 2015 Phoenix is fully set to take up its own share in the 125cc segment. The bike is available at Rs 55,899(Ex-showroom, Delhi) and will come in six exciting colors: Cherry White, White Night, Red Hot, Crimson Black, Black Magic and Midnight Black.
