Yamaha Recalls Alpha Scooters For Engine Issues

  • Jan 9, 2015
  • |   Comments
Japanese manufacturer Yamaha is on a mission these days, that is to overcome the faults in their autogear scooter- Alpha. The manufacturer is contacting each and every customer of their Yamaha Alpha to replace the O-rings of the engine’s cylinder head. These faulty rings have been responsible for leakage of engine oil and thus Yamaha is replacing them free of cost. The whole process takes 3-odd hours only.

Yamaha Alpha is an amazing scooter targeted to the matured male audience. It is the flagship scooter of the company. The 113cc air-cooled unit on the alpha generates some 7 Bhp and 8.1 Nm. It competes with the likes of TVS Jupiter, Honda Activa and Aviator. The Alpha tips the scale at 104 kgs.

In 2015 Yamaha has not only laid a beautiful road for the existing customers to get their vehicles' fault sorted out, but some great product update for upcoming customers also. Yamaha is rumored to be developing the YZF-R15 V3.0, they are also be launching their latest offering from the YZF series- the quarter litre inline-twin cylinder offering the R25. So keep watching this space for more on Yamaha.
