Royal Enfield uses metal to carve the body of its motorcycles. We all know that there is a lot of history behind the brand and that they have been in production since 1901. This in itself is no easy feat, but today we are going to talk about what Royal Enfield motorcycles currently have that makes them one of the most loved motorcycles in our country.
Low-end grunt: 90% of all of our riding happens inside the city, where we have to take on bad traffic, unexpected pedestrians and equally expected potholes. As a result, the low-end torque of Royal Enfield bike comes to the rescue. One can easily pick up the pace again and again despite being slowed down by aforementioned obstructions. The torque hits as low as 3000 RPM and is almost instantaneous. It can easily propel you ahead of the traffic when the signal turns green and allows you to quickly pick up the speed even if you encounter a pothole and slow down. Let the number of people sitting on the bike be two or three, the bike will still easily pull.
Comfortable seating position: Back pain is a sad reality of today's modern life. Almost every guy/girl who daily commutes to his/her office, either via metro or bus suffers from it. Royal Enfield knows this, that’s why they make their bike super comfortable. They keep their suspensions softly sprung and even add an extra set of springs in their classic range of motorcycles for extra comfort. The seating and the handlebar come together to offer an upright seating position with your legs parallel on the ground and your arms resting on the handlebar. Royal Enfield motorcycles are not the fastest but they are indeed the most comfortable motorcycles in our market.
Thick paint job: On every Royal Enfield, one thing stands out and its the Paint job. The company is very peculiar is selecting its colour palette and does not tolerate even 1% of shade difference between two batches. The quality of their colour is outstanding; the final shade includes several layers of paint and is exceptionally thick at 22 microns. The company still orders the pin-striping on the tank of the Bullet, to be done by hands; this adds to the character of the motorcycle and makes them feel more personalized.
Classic look and feel: There are motorcycles which look retro but runs like a modern machine, and then there is Royal Enfield which makes motorcycles that look retro and runs like a classic machine as well. When I say classic, I refer to the use of long stroke Pushrod Engine, which gives you the thump. Royal Enfield still uses old technology but in a much-refined way. The engine as I mentioned is of an old design but the components and their quality are miles better than any old bike of the same configuration. The new UCE engine makes the motorcycle feel like a retro machine to its core but doesn’t burden you with problems of breakdown or failure. The end result is that you get a proper classic bike, with a classic mechanical character supported by modern components.
Customizability: Royal Enfield motorcycles are like a blank sheet of canvas. They can be made into anything that we want. From a scrambler to a café racer to a chopper, Royal Enfield bikes are easily the favorite of every custom bike builder in our country. Even the famous Rajputana Customs situated in Rajasthan made their first chopper, “The original gangster” around a Royal Enfield’s engine. The company also supports its users to customize their motorcycles in many events around the world. Not just at a professional level but everyday motorcycle riders like you and I, can also be seen riding a Royal Enfield in a modded avatar. This makes the bike feel more personal for a rider and is one of the steps in making a brand a cult phenomenon.
