Here we have, the first completely sans-camouflaged pictures of the 2016 Speed Triple, spotted near the company's factory in England. As we can see in the pictures, the changes to the 2016 model looks like it gets a complete overall both in terms of design and technology. The body looks muscular, with less bulk. It has now got a revised radiator guard and a sleek tail unit. The exhaust system and the catalytic converter also seems to be changed. Even the headlights have been re-designed, now gets a round like shaped headlights.

Apart from the cosmetic upgrade, reports from earlier this year have shown that the new bike's technologies will include fly-by-wire throttle, traction control, multiple power modes and keyless ignition. The standard equipment on the 2016 Speed Triple would comprise of Showa forks, Brembo brakes and riding modes.

The motorcycle will be powered by the same 1050cc inline three-cylinder engine, presently producing 133 bhp and 111 Nm of torque. However, it seems like the power figures will be higher in this version, though not as great to compete with the present superbike derived naked bikes from Aprilia, BMW and KTM that produce around 180 bhp-plus of power. The base model will have a Showa suspension while the sportier R model will be getting Ohlins unit and five riding modes as apposed to three riding modes in the base model.

The frame for the 2011 model seems to be unaltered, as is the suspension which we can conclude that this is a mid-cycle facelift until the next generation will be coming in few years' time. Both these models are expected to be unveiled by the end of this year and may be launched next year here in India.
