The Japanese auto giant has announced to display the largest ever product range at the Delhi Auto Expo. Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the 200cc motorcycle Xtreme 200R, the bike was first showcased as a concept at the last Auto Expo 2016. It was then projected as Xtreme 200S and was based on the ongoing Xtreme series of motorbikes. Today at an event organized by the company in the capital city of the country the brand new Xtreme 200R has been officially unveiled.
Ducati India announced the opening of bookings for the new Panigale V4. The brand new Panigale V4 is the closest Ducati possible to its MotoGP counterpart. Ducati India opens pre-booking for the first 20 Panigale V4 in 2018. The Panigale V4 will be limited to 20 units in India for year 2018 and each of these bookings made before 31st May. Each bike will include an exclusive numbered memorabilia on delivery.
Down south in Bangalore, issues related to the safety standards of helmets are on a boil between motorcycle riders and Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP). This comes to the courtesy of the enforcement of Section 129 in Motor Vehicles Act of 1998, which dictates the definition of a protective headgear while riding a motorcycle and enforces its compulsion as well. On the basis of the above mentioned law, the Authorities have banned the use of Non-ISI and Half faced helmets.

Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has revised the Indian standards for Petrol and Diesel as per BSVI fuel norms. Presently the ongoing standards cover the fuel requirement based on the emission norms up to BS IV. To conserve the natural resources and to prevent the environment by reducing air pollution Government of India has decided to implement BS VI (Bharat Stage Six) emission norms. The BSVI norms will be implemented in Delhi & NCR from “1 April’18” whereas the same will be implemented in rest of the country from “1 April’20”.
Suzuki Motorcycles India is going to introduce a Max Scooter in India. The auto scooter will be from the ‘Burgman’ series of Suzuki and is named as ‘Burgman Street’. Mahindra Mojo's stripped down version has been spotted at dealership, the pictures are surfaced at the Facebook. The new Mojo is coined as 'UT300' and missed out lots of things on board. The carburated variant of the Mojo is going to be a low cost version of the bike, which we can expect to be officially launched later this month.
Royal Enfield has launched a limited edition of their only adventure motorcycle Himalayan. The motorcycle is slated as Himalayan ‘Sleet’ and been given a camouflage patterned paint job. The pattern is inspired by the snow capped mountains and comes in snowy shade of gray. Royal Enfield will roll out only 500 units of the limited edition Himalayan Sleet and it can only be booked through RE’s Official Website.
