Booking Starts For Suzuki Gixxer Launch On 10th August

  • |   Comments
Suzuki has announced the launch date of its much awaited bike the 150cc Gixxer. Suzuki is going to officially launch the new Gixxer on 10th of coming month. The prominent Suzuki dealers have started taking bookings for the bike, the deliver of the bike will commence soon after the official launch. After recently Yamaha launched new FZ V.2.0 the competition in 150cc segment become more fierce and Suzuki launching the Gixxer before Bajaj launches the Discover 150S or 150F makes this scenario more interesting, the new 150cc Gixxer is very important product for Suzuki India as in India Suzuki has only one offering in 150cc class the GS150R, which is being a good product in itself failed to attract the masses, now with this new Gixxer Suzuki wants to establish itself in this segment as they have smartly used the name of their World famous bike the- GSX R1000, which also commonly known as "Gixxer". This time Suzuki is portraying that they are focusing more on the power oriented bikes then the usual commuter bikes what Suzuki is been introducing in India in sub-quarter liter segment specially in 150cc class up til now.

The new Gixxer is sporting 150cc single cylinder air cooled 4-stroke SOHC engine , the expected power deliver of the bike is 13.9 Ps whereas 13.5 Nm of torque is expected to be delivered by the bike, the Gixxer has 5-speed gear box unlike 6-speed transmission as GS150R. The bike is also featured with the digital instrument console, fresh and appealing design with front telescopic suspensions and the rear bearing the Monoshock. The Gixxer also featured with 140 mm rear tyre with only front disc brake option. The price of the new 150cc Gixxer is not been disclosed by the company but it is expected that it would be prudently priced between Yamaha FZs and upcoming Bajaj Discover 150F.

Stay tuned to BikesIndia for more on Technical details and price of the Suzuki 150 Gixxer.
