Honda Silently Launches Updated Dio

The Honda Dio and the Activa are one of the highest selling scooters in India. These motorcycles are perfectly designed to suit almost every kind of riders. The Dio hasn't had much of changes for the past few years, so Honda has silently given the Dio a few cosmetics updates. The new Dio comes with a BS-IV compliant to meet the standard emission norms. The Dio has never failed to amuse us in any way; it is simply a smooth and lightweight scooter that offers a great value for money and one of the best fuel economies. Let’s hope that the new Dio does the same too.

Overall the new Dio looks neat and refreshing, still retaining its iconic looks. The new Honda Dio now gets two white position lamps on the front apron and the auto headlamp on (AHO) feature. A LED light is mounted to the front handle bar and the tail light also gets a changeover. The seat is now wider and under the seat bags a USB charging port. The Dio also gets four new dual-tone paint schemes with new decals- yellow/gray, orange/gray, red/gray, blue/white and matte gray.

Powering the Honda Dio is the same 109cc single-cylinder engine that delivers 8bhp and 9Nm of torque. Honda has stuck on to their iconic combi braking system. Honda is now offering tubeless tires on the new Dio. The 2017 Honda Dio is priced at Rs 49132 (Ex- Showroom, Delhi). The updated Dio is set to compete against its rivals like the Yamaha Ray-ZR, TVS Scooty and Suzuki Let's.
