Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) is all set to launch the updated 2016 Platina, as per reliable source BikesIndia came to know that the company is ready with the new product and the launch may take place as early as this month itself. Bajaj has tasted the success in the entry level segment by launching discontinued brand like “CT 100”. The current Platina ES though looks very descent but it hardly gets any style update since its inception, therefore a facelift Platina makes all sense.
The upcoming Platina is expected to retain the underpinnings from the existing model with 102cc air cooled Dtsi engine, although performance figure can be seen a little tweaked. It is also expected that a good looking Platina may fetch business for the company in the very competitive entry level commuter segment.
The existing Platina ES is doing business for the company in descent numbers; it is time to bring some freshness in the model. However, if the company introduces optional front disc brake and box shape swingarm to the updated Platina, it would be icing on the cake.
As far pricing of the new Platina is concerned, it is expected to remain same, which is 45,252 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) for the existing Platina ES. Stay tuned as we will bring another insight of the story shortly.
