Pirelli and the British iconic Triumph Motorcycles have come together again with the introduction of Pirelli Phantom Sportcomp tyres on the 2016 series of Triumph Bonneville family. To celebrate the historic partnership between Pirelli and Triumph Motorcycles an exclusive Triumph Street Twin by Pirelli is also unveiled.
The special Triumph Street Twin will be shown at the upcoming MotorBikeExpo at the Verona, Italy. The special Bonneville is featured with the livery used by the Bonneville in 1977, which happens to be the the year of birth of the Pirelli PHANTOM™ Sportscomp. The bike is also customized with the Pirelli graphic logo "Scudetto and Stella" on the front fender and the tread pattern of the PHANTOM ™ Sportscomp tyre on the fuel tank.
The Pirelli PHANTOM™ Sportscomp has been selected by the British marquee as OE for the new Bonneville range of motorcycles. The new tyres will be featured on Twin Street, Bonneville T120 and T120 Bonneville Black. The range of Bonneville motorcycles will be getting new re-sized tyres; the upcoming series will be featured with new 100/90 - 18 M/C 65H TL front and 150/70 R17 M/C TL 69H rear sizes. Pirelli has worked closely with Triumph engineers in identifying the new size tyres as ‘best fit’ for the new line of Bonneville motorcycles.By: Farhan Kashif
