The iconic British marquee Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the range of their next generation Bonneville motorcycles today at the 2nd day of Auto Expo’16. Triumph Motorcycles has showcased three new models from their Bonneville series- Street Twin, Bonneville T120 and Thruxton R.

Speaking on the occasion, Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India, said:
Our classics already enjoy a huge fan following here in India with people from all walks of life enjoying these iconic motorcycles. Modern classics are becoming more and more popular since people today are looking for character, style and fun. For us here in India this is the perfect timing since this market is fast expanding. We’re extremely excited about the 3 new Bonneville’s that have unveiled here in India today. The models selected for India are a result of the feedback we received directly from our customers and are very sure of their success within the India market.

All the three Bonnevilles are the updated products of Triumph motorcycles from the core, the British motor company has used two different engine platforms for the next gen Bonneville bikes unveiled. The Street Twin is featured with all new 900cc parallel twins, liquid cooled engine, churning out 80 Nm of torque at 3200 RPM. The new liquid cooled mill featured on the Street Twin is mated to 5- Speed gearbox.

On the other hand the Bonneville T-120 and Thruxton R is featured with 1200cc parallel twin, liquid cooled engine. Although, both Bonneville T120 and Thruxton R have engines with different tuning, the engine mounted on T-120 is tuned to produce 105 Nm of torque at 3100 RPM whereas, the same 1200cc engine featured on the new Thruxton R is tuned to produce 112 Nm of torque at 4950 RPM. The differently tuned engines of both T120 and Thruxton R are mated to 6-Speed gear transmission.

All the three Bonnevilles come equipped with cutting edge technology like Ride By Wire, ABS, Traction Control, Slip Assist Clutch and Fingertip Control Button. The new Triumph Bonneville Street Twin is priced at Rs 6.90 lacs and the 1200cc Triumph Bonneville T-120 at Rs 8.70 Lacs (both Ex, Showroom, Delhi). The price of the mighty Bonneville Thruxton R is not been disclosed yet and it will be declared when the bike is available for sale from July 2016 onwards. The Bonneville Street Twin and T-120’s delivery will commence from March’16 and April’16 respectively.
